Trust Badge and Custom CSS

Two CookieRay Pro features help the banner and your site feel like your brand.

Trust badge

A small badge shown on the front end of your site to signal that you respect visitors’ privacy. Set it up under Settings → Trust Badge.

OptionChoices
Show trust badge on frontendOn / off
Badge TextYour own text, up to 60 characters (longer text is cut off when you save). Leave blank for the default, “Privacy Protected”
PositionBottom Left, Bottom Right, Bottom Center
StyleMinimal (text only) or Full (shield and text)

The badge appears only while the consent banner is enabled in CookieRay, so it never shows on a site that hasn’t gone live with consent yet. It is a display badge only (not clickable), and it also shows for visitors from countries hidden by Geo Targeting. If you use the floating cookie settings button, it sits in the bottom-left corner like the badge’s default position and can cover it. Choose another badge position to avoid that. A preview in the admin shows the chosen text, position and style.

Custom CSS

Add your own CSS to restyle the consent banner beyond the built-in controls. Open Banner Design and scroll to Advanced.

  • Up to 5,000 characters.
  • Applied on the live site only. It is not reflected in the admin live preview, so check your changes on a real page.
  • Target the .cookieray-banner class and related classes. For example:
.cookieray-banner { font-family: inherit; }

Custom CSS requires CookieRay Pro and free CookieRay 1.0.2 or later. Use your browser’s inspector on a page with the banner showing to find the class names you want to override. The Custom CSS Reference lists the class names and has copy-paste examples.

Without a license

Both panels are locked and show “A Pro license is required… Upgrade or reactivate Pro to unlock this feature.”
