Review and export consent logs for an audit
CookieRay records each consent decision in your own WordPress database. This guide shows how to find, export and retain those records.
Find records
- Open CookieRay → Consent Logs.
- Use the filters to narrow the list:
- From / To date range
- Consent type (for example accepted all, rejected all, or custom)
- Search ID or URL
- Select the eye icon on a row to view its details.
Records show a pseudonymous (hashed) user ID, the consent type, and the page URL where consent was given. CookieRay does not store raw IP addresses or raw user-agent strings. See Privacy & data handling.
Export
- Export as CSV downloads up to the 500 most recent records that match your current search and filters. To get older records, narrow the date range and export again.
- The PDF icon on a row downloads a receipt for that single consent record.
- Settings → Data Portability Export downloads a CSV of consents. It uses the same export, so it also covers up to 500 of the most recent records.
Decide how long to keep records
In Settings → Consent Storage, set the Storage Duration. This is how long consent records are kept on your server; it is separate from Consent Expiration, which controls when a visitor is asked again. A WordPress Cron job deletes consent records older than the retention period (it runs whenever WP-Cron runs on your host). Pick a retention period that matches your own policy, and export anything you need to keep longer.
